NEW - If you need your GED, we will pay for it through an accredited program!On-the-job trainingExcellent and affordable health and retirement benefits including 401k, profit sharing and a quarterly bonus program.Advancement opportunities to grow with us!Available Positions: Location: 1800 West Lake Shore Drive Woodstock, IL 60098 (Time Zone: CST)Open Roles: Electrician - 3rd shift - 10 PM to 6 AM - Salary Range: $70k - $80k.Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift Mobile - 2 PM to 10:30 PM – Salary Range: $60k - $75k.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Electrical Apprenticeship or one plus year of trades training or an Associate’s Degree or a combination of education and experience.Three plus years’ Industrial Electrician related experience working in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, code books, and specifications.Ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines for possible problems.Knowledge of drives and motor controls.Understanding of national electric code (NEC) and NFPA-70E.Good verbal and written communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemen, GE, etc.)Knowledge of operation of SCRs, rectifiers, capacitors, and resistors.Process identifier (PID) troubleshooting experience.Crane troubleshooting experience.Knowledge and aptitude on hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, machining, and mechanical systems.Troubleshooting experience with automated systems (material handling, machine tools, and metal casting equipment)Work experience in a foundry environment.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:Ensure equipment safety codes and electrical standards are met.Follow plant Lockout/Tagout procedures on all plant equipment.Ensure repairs meet code and operate to specification.Troubleshoot induction furnaces, drives, and complex systems in a hot and dirty environment for equipment.Solve intermittent problems.Perform a limited variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work to keep production and support equipment in operating condition.Assist on installation of motor control centers, power distribution panels, lighting panels and controls on plant equipment such as bar pulling machines, cut off equipment, centerless grinders, trepanning lathes, dust collectors, melting and holding furnaces, and other similar types of equipment.Repair, replace, and connect single- or three-phase motors AC or DC, on all types of production and support equipment. Maintain and replace starters, contactors, relays, timers, limit switches, and counters.Use material handling equipment when performing certain electrical maintenance work; operate a forklift truck for transporting equipment and lifting employees; use specialized power equipment for pulling cable and wire.Use multimeters and other test instruments when troubleshooting electrical equipment.Obtain some information from simple wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.Follow all plant safety rules; use safety equipment appropriates for the job; be aware of the safety of others.Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Frequent lifting up to 12 lbs, hand use, standing, and walking.Occasional climbing, lifting up to 30 lbs, reaching, and sitting.Minimal carrying, lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling, below waist level work, and complex neck/spinal motion.
